LedgerGurus has supported QuickBooks Online since our founding in 2014. A few years after starting, we decided to focus on QuickBooks Online and deepen our knowledge there. Every year, we go through the rigorous process to certify and re-certify in QuickBooks Online. This is done through Intuit’s ProAdvisor program. Here’s a quick update of our 2021 eCommerce QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certifications.
QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certifications
There are two Intuit certifications for QuickBooks Online:
- QuickBooks Online – This is also known as the core certification and involves hours of training & a multi-part exam.
- QuickBooks Online Advanced – This is a more rigorous certification. It includes hours of deeper training & rigorous scenario & a multiple-choice-based, multi-part exam.
There is a pass rate of 80% for each exam.
There are thousands of ProAdvisors who get “core” QuickBooks Online-certified. But only a fraction have the QuickBooks Online Advanced certification.
Re-Certification
The initial certifications can be brutal. In addition, every year Intuit requires re-certification from everyone who wants to keep their ProAdvisor status. This process requires learning the new features and testing on knowledge. The tests are not easy. Some years are downright difficult.
Our Commitment
All of our service professionals get QuickBooks Online certified when joining LedgerGurus. Some go on to become QuickBooks Online Advance certified as well. Every year, we commit hundreds of hours to re-certify everyone. We do this as all accounting data flows to the accounting software (AKA the General Ledger). Therefore, we want to ensure that everyone has the expertise needed to provide the best results for our customers.
