I’m over it. And honestly? I’ve been over it for years.

As a firm owner for the last 12 years, leading a team that’s grown to over 65 employees, I’ve hired, trained, and retrained more accountants than I can count. (Okay, I can count—it’s over 150—but that’s too many.)

Don’t get me wrong—I genuinely love people. I love helping them grow, succeed, and find their place in this crazy world of accounting. But let’s be real: this much recruiting and training is… a lot. Somewhere between excessive, exhausting, and “I might need a nap just thinking about it.”

A Training Hero for Accounting Firms

Here’s the problem: brand-new grads come in unprepared for real-world accounting, and even experienced hires often don’t have the specific skills we need.

So what happens? I have to train them. On everything.

  • Accounting? Check.
  • QuickBooks? Of course.
  • Client communication and “advisory mindset”? Naturally.
  • AI mastery? Apparently, that’s on my to-do list now too.

(Cue a panic attack)

Let’s pretend for a second that I was a ninja at all of that. I could create the training, sure. But developing courses is time-consuming. Updating them is time-consuming. And tracking them is… you guessed it, time-consuming.

And if you assume that being an accountant means I’m naturally great at processes, let me stop you right there. I’m not.

So yes, I need a HERO!!!  (Yes, this is meant to be sung in your head to Mariah Carey.)

Anyone? ANYONE??

And then (cue the dramatic movie soundtrack), Intuit swooped in and said, “I got you, Brittany.”

Because the new ProAdvisor Training Manager and reimagined Client Advisory Services Training Program are EV-ER-Y-THING!

The Dream I Didn’t Think Would Happen

Imagine high-caliber training developed by Intuit, not you.

Imagine they keep it updated. Still not you.

Imagine a massive library of topics you can assign to your team like a training buffet.

And then imagine a dashboard that lets you assign, track, and monitor everything without touching a spreadsheet.

Intuit training dashboardYou don’t have to build it, maintain it, or track it. You just get to do the fun part.  Pester.

That’s right. No content creation. No endless updating. No pretending you’ll build a “training tracker” in your free time. Just assign, watch progress happen, and cheer (or nudge) from the sidelines.

So, What’s New?

1. Doubling Down on Training for Growth

Intuit has gone all-in on making firm training better.

The ProAdvisor Training Manager (full launch in January 2026) gives you complete visibility into your team’s learning journey right inside the Intuit Accountant Suite. You can assign courses, track certifications, and actually see who’s completing what. It’s like Fitbit for firm learning, minus the guilt trips.

Intuit Training Programs

Individual Training DashboardThen comes the new Client Advisory Services (CAS) Curriculum (launching October 2025).

And honestly? This is the big one.

The CAS curriculum helps firms like ours move from just doing compliance work to delivering the kind of insights that change clients’ businesses. It’s not fluff; it’s practical, well-designed, and built for the real world.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Bookkeeping & Accounting Foundations with the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification.
  • QuickBooks Mastery through the QuickBooks Online Level 1 Certification.
  • Soft Skills for Building Trust—because great advisors know how to connect, not just calculate.
  • Financial Analysis Training—so your team learns how to interpret reports, spot issues, and help clients make smarter decisions.

Once your team completes the CAS Foundations Pathway, they’ll earn a shiny new badge, and, more importantly, the confidence and skill set to deliver true advisory services.

Translation: fewer clients asking, “So what do I owe?” and more saying, “Wow, you really helped me understand my business.”

2. Tools That Make Firm Owners Happy

Intuit’s not stopping with training. They’re bringing tools that make sense for firm owners:

  • Firm-Level Points System: Now your entire team earns points together toward firm-wide milestones. No more lone-wolf learning; everyone contributes to your firm’s success.
  • ProAdvisor Homebase Widget (October 2025): A real-time dashboard in your Intuit Accountant Suite that shows your points and tier progress. No more digging through emails wondering where your firm stands.
  • Enablement Toolkits (October 2025): Professionally designed, co-branded marketing kits that make your firm look as good as it performs. The first four toolkits will help you promote:
    • Intuit Enterprise Suite
    • Human Capital Management
    • Money (Bill Pay & Payments)
    • Desktop Migration

Basically, you get to show up looking sharp without spending hours in Canva.

3. Building Real Relationships Through Engagement

And because learning shouldn’t be a solo sport, Intuit is launching Solutions Spotlight—a quarterly virtual event just for the ProAdvisor community.

You’ll get face time (well, screen time) with Intuit Care leaders, learn advanced troubleshooting tips, and pick up ways to boost efficiency across the Intuit platform. Think of it as professional development that’s actually useful—and doesn’t require a plane ticket or a name badge.

In Short

The new Intuit ProAdvisor program is the training revolution firm owners, like me, have been dreaming of.

  • No more building endless courses.
  • No more tracking spreadsheets that live in your nightmares.
  • No more guessing who’s actually doing the training you assigned three months ago.

It’s all there – ready to use, easy to manage, and genuinely helpful.

So, to my fellow firm owners who are tired, overwhelmed, and one bad spreadsheet away from a breakdown: there’s hope.

The cavalry has arrived, and it’s wearing a big blue Intuit badge.

Thank you, Intuit. You really did get me.  (Little sniff and wiping a tear.)
